This Sunday, we explore the profound spiritual practices of Tibetan Buddhism, an esoteric Buddhist tradition known for its dynamic fusion of ritual, visualization, and deep meditative techniques. Tibetan Buddhism is Vajrayana Buddhism, called the “Diamond Vehicle”, because it offers an accelerated path to enlightenment through mantras, symbolic hand gestures, and intricate sacred diagrams. It is a closed tradition, in that one must study with a Lama to have access to the full teachings. We will be working with the open aspects and practices available to layfolk.
In our service, we will chant resonant mantras to cultivate wisdom and compassion, practice mudra gestures that embody spiritual energy, and create personal mandalas as a meditative reflection on the interconnected web of all which connects us. Join us for this immersive journey into a tradition that blends intellectual insight with experiential transformation.
Erica Merchant will lead the service both in person and on zoom.
