During the High Holy Day of Yom Kippur this week, Jewish people around the globe engage in the deep spiritual practice of seeking and granting forgiveness to one another. Like our Jewish neighbors, when Unitarian Universalists seek forgiveness, we do not expect a scapegoat or a sacrificed messiah to do the work for us. Instead, we attempt to open our hearts and approach our family and friends with honesty and care. Forgiveness is a gift that we seek, a gift that we can grant, and a gift that we can also give ourselves. This season as the world turns darker, and our attention turns inward, we will explore the practice of forgiveness and how it might change our lives.
Tamara Murray will lead the service In Person and on Zoom. Greeters are Jude Selva and Jennifer Branton.
