“This is how we win. Not by fighting what we hate, but by saving what we love,” says Rose Tico in the latest Star Wars movie, The Last Jedi. With women in the highest leadership positions, a deep reverence for the galaxy and science, the danger of heroic solo acts exposed … the core tension is about whether the Jedi Faith can or will survive.

With Annie Lenox’s song, A Thousand Beautiful Things as a backdrop, we will explore a theology of the future and of resistance, so we can say with Ms. Lenox, “Every day I write the list of reasons why I still believe they do exist.”

Tamara Murray will lead the service both in person and on zoom.
