Flower Communion
New Member Ceremony
“I Believe in the Seed: A View From Mt. Etna”
Speaker: Rev Jane E Mauldin, Consulting Minister
This Flower Communion morning we will celebrate the power and strength of some of the most fragile and perishable of living things: flowers. Small yet determined, brief yet blazing, flowers have made human life and love possible. For almost 100 years, European Unitarians and, later, North American Unitarian Universalists have celebrated Flower Communion each spring, and we will also do so during our worship service Family Time this morning. To further add to our morning celebration, we will welcome our newest members during the service!
** Please bring a flower for our Flower Communion celebration! (And if you don’t have one to bring, please come anyway! There will surely be plenty!)
Service time: 11:00 am
