A 2017 Stewardship Sermon Award Winner originally preached on Sunday March 5, 2017, at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Princeton in Princeton, New Jersey.
Bill Neely began serving UU Princeton in July 2011 and has been a minister since 2006. He previously served congregations in Memphis and Detroit and was ordained by the Unitarian Church of Norfolk (VA) in 2006. Bill is originally from a small town just outside of Pittsburgh, PA, and grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
He attended college at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA, studying Political Science and African American Studies, and received his M.Div. from Meadville Lombard Theological School in Chicago. Bill and his wife Shannon live in Hamilton where they have three kids and a cat. He enjoys running, reading, theatre, and sports.
