We can run, but we can’t hide! Sooner or later, serious illness will come into our lives or into the life of someone we love dearly. In that unavoidable stew pot of crazy experiences, often including frustration, fear, and pain, there may also be surprising opportunities for love, deeper spirituality, and fresh insight about our lives. As Unitarian Universalists, we have a rather unique understanding of illness and what it can offer us. The Rev. Dr. Jane Mauldin will bring some of her experiences as a hospital chaplain to this service and sermon.
